1. Arrival


Transfer

Depends on distance and amount of people.
From the airport Sharm el Sheikh to RockSea it takes about 2 hours driving.                                                                                            The price for the transfer is 350,- Le (ca 46 Euro) for one person and 50,- Le more for each additional person
From the airport Taba to RockSea it takes about one hour driving.                                                The price for the transfer is 175,-Le (ca 23 Euro) for one person and 25,- Le more for each additional person

By Bus from Cairo

Cairo  Buses pass by 'RockSea', before they reach Nuweiba Bus Station. From there you need a taxi (approx. 40 L.E.)  to go back the same way.  That's why we recommend to ask the Bus Driver to let you out at 'RockSea' (from 'Sonesta Resort' 6km, from 'Castle Beach' 2km). Look for the sign 'RockSea' (on the left hand side) along 90-degree curve to the right. The campsite is located 25m from the main street on the left hand side of the dirt road.

2. Accomodation

On the whole impressive area you find charming and nevertheless functional features, in harmony with the amazing mountains and the shimmering water-world, creating a pleasant atmosphere for an unforgettable stay for our guests.
In RockSea you find two different areas with individual lodgings. Some of the comfortable reed-roofed bungalows are nestled in the natural rock surroundings (called moonside). The other part is situated close to the beach offering an excellent view to the Red Sea (called starside).  The wooden bungalows are made to accomodate two persons; however, additional mattresses are available for extra cost, so that three people find enough place.
Beds with comfortable mattresses belong to the furnishings but also a mosquito net such as a practical wardrobe. Each bungalow offers a nature-stoned veranda with a shadowplace and seats to enjoy the beautiful view at the sea.
In addition we have cosy shadowplaces (Arishas) at the shore, which invite everyone to relax. You will find showers and lavatories in either one of the shared bathrooms, which are built in the direct reach of the bungalows
From dusk until night there is power in every single hut but the lamps and lights are very decent so it does not disturb the idyllic atmosphere.
In the traditional bedouin-tent, which provides a cosy fireplace, becomes every starry night an experience.
“RockSea” garanties every guest a relaxing stay, regardless of whether you travel alone or in company.

3. Food and beverages

  1. The open restaurant is built and equipped in bedouin style and lies right next to the sea. The kitchen belongs to one of the best and varied in the region.
Fresh and tasty meals and several drinks will be served in the familiar atmoshere. “Try everything” is the best motto. We offerfresh fish, poultry and vegetables with fresh herbs and oriental spicies, grilled or cooked. Rice or frensh fries are beeing served to almost every menu. As “starter” you can order “Tahina”, which is a sesame sauce with oil, herbs and garlic or “Fool”, which is a bedouin-egyptian food made out of beans. Both meals are eaten with selfmade round flat bread. Advisible are not only all the other native dishes but also the international ones like pasta, soup, pizza or vegetarian specialities. The offer depends also on demands and wishes and varies therefore constantly.
Very popular afre the fresh baked rolls and the self-squeezed orange juice in the morning, that gives everyone the perfect start for the day. But not only the meals fit every taste. Qw also offer all different kinds of beverages. If “Shai” (strong black tea), that is usually served with lots of sugar and fresh mint, a cold coke, cocoa or mango and guave juice.
The prices for food and beverages can vary but are still favourable.
A menu with chicken and a side dish is obtainalbe for approximatly 5 Euros and for a coke you don´t even have to pay one Euro. For the breakfast and all other kinds of delicious food you pay just as little.

4. Offerings   

Women, who travel by themselves find a secure and pleasant atmosphere and get a discount of 10% on a 'Star-Side'-Bungalow. Fundamentaly, reservations for Snorkeling is a MUSTbungalows and other offers are possible. Anyway, for a compulsary promise we ask for a preceding down payment.
