Diving and snorkling

Temporary name, please change.

Ras El Shetan – Devilshead

Another bedouin-camp lies about 30 minutes northerly from Nuweiba, where they have two diving places. After approximately 12 meters starts the southern reef. At a depth of 22 meters opens a big Canyon, which goes down to a depth of 40 meters.Colourful formations of hard corals along the Canyon leave a spectacular impression on every diver. After a break you will get to see the north side of the reef, which surprises with a totally different structure. The huge corals seem to look like a chinese garden. Apart from the usual coral-fish you can also find various kinds of sluggs and maybe you will be able to find some little fish, that try to gide in the corals.

The Valley

Outside the bedouin-camp with the two diving places lies the “Valley” about 20 minutes from Nuweiba with a car. Our first dive leads us to the right side, where we reach in a depth of apporximately 12 meters a garden of corals, which brings us to a Canyon, that lies 35-40 meters under sealevel. After a one hour break we approach a second Canyon from the left side, that is overgrown with beautilful hard- and soft-corals. On our way back through the shallow water we find fantastic fire-corals, which are surrounded by many coral fish.

El Magana

25 minutes from “RockSea” in directoin to Taba is onother bedouin-camp with two diving places. This reef begins 20 meters away from the beach and goes 35 meters deep. At 22 meters we find a small Canyon, that is about 30 meters deep. On our way back out we go slowly up the wall and at a sea level of 12-15 meters we pass a coral-garden. The southside also starts in a 20 meter distance from the beach and goes in shouther direction along the coast. The reefs consist mainly of hard-corals and with some luck you will be able to see “Napoleons”, “Barracudas” and Seahorses.

Ras Abu Gallum

As reward for the two hour drive you get an impressive dive on a steep-wall. It is an easy and slow entry in a sandy bay, which leads to the steep-wall in 90 meter depth. Often you can find Nampoleonfish here and sometimes even sharks. Right next to the diving place there is a bedouin-camp, where you can get refreshments to proper prices.
